We start with a discovery phase, typically one to three weeks, mapping the actual workflow — not the org chart's idea of it — before writing a line of code. The first real decision a client has to make is scope: a narrow tool that fixes the acute pain in six to ten weeks, or a platform build that takes several months but avoids a second rewrite in a year. We push clients toward the narrow version more often than not, since most 'platforms' turn out to need only two or three modules once the workflow is mapped honestly. Where a generic shop defaults to whatever framework the last project used, we choose the stack based on your team's ability to maintain it after we leave — a smaller, boring stack your engineers can actually own beats a trendy one they'll be afraid to touch. Expect an architecture review before implementation starts, a working slice in the first two to three weeks so you're not staring at a blank screen for a month, and a test suite and documentation that ship with the code, not after it. Multi-tenant SaaS and workflow-automation builds follow the same discipline, just with more attention to tenant isolation and data-model decisions made early, since those are the hardest ones to walk back later.
